The Thrill
I was in my first year when me and my newly known friends back then bunked our classes and went for this beautiful location.
The place is located 40 kms away from our rendezvous point, Ettimadai, Coimbatore. Situated in Kanjikode, Palakkad; this place is well known for its natural view and the road path that one should take for going to the location.
So the story is kinda funny. Me and one of my friend boarded into our college bus and reached college as usual. But instead of going to college, we waited near the college gate. One of my friend came to us and said, "get the bike and follow me". We reached his friend's home. That's how I first met 2 other people from my gang.
The Mission
So we waited till 10 am and started our journey. It was so nice to travel through the roadway that led to the location. We reached there around 11, 11:10; I'm not sure. Back then, I didn't know the value of photographing the location I go to, so there are the only pics I have unfortunately :(

Ignore my leg :) Enjoy the view. |

Cattles roaming around the lake |
We don't know if swimming is allowed there or not so we went deep into the place and found ourselves a spot where no one can see us and I started swimming there. I didn't bring with me any swim suit so I had to swim in my undies. Good thing no one's around the place. Once I felt satisfied with the so-called swimming, I had a sun bath to dry myself. Then changed myself and We left.

The route we took |
That was the first time I went somewhere with my friends, unofficially; as I used to travel places either as a field trip from school or to competitions. So that was my first time going to a place without staffs, parents. I had a gut feeling as if I'd achieved something.
Some habits die hard
So when we came back, we assembled near the college gate and I got a call from my mom that my class advisor had called her for not attending the class. It took me a while to make her understand that I was indeed present and the staff called the wrong parent. Later that was never an issue at all. I used to be an over-reactive kid growing up; so I do alot of bullshits and it took me 20 fucking years to understand this. Some habits die hard you know ;p
It was that day I decided to learn Malayalam just like how I wanted to learn Hindi after attending two prayer sessions during my high school days. Yeah, over-reactive kid, ngl. But both are just a week's short term goal that I'm yet to take steps to achieve.
So that's my first bunk scene in college. Share in the comments your first college bunk scene. See you guys in the next post.
Peace.
