How It Started..
So basically, it all started because we asked atikin to give treat for us since a long time. We used to ask her to give us treat for fun every time we get a chance. This was the scenario for almost six months now. But a month ago, Me nexus and TrillX asked her for treat after she got her intern stipend. She said if we come to Chennai, she'll give it.
She said it for a while and one night on discord voice call, we asked her the same and she said if we all come to Chennai, she'll do it. So immediately, TrillX booked my ticket to Chennai. She didn't believe at first but then I shared the screenshot of the booking and then she was shocked initially. Then We asked her to sing a song so that Nexus will also be coming. She tried to fool us without singing and made us sit on voice call until 3 am.
The Initiating spark
But the next day, she sent a snap to us singing the first verse of "Nila Kaaigirathu" to us. The next thing that happened was Nexus asking his parents' permission to go to Chennai and he booked his tickets as well. Something started as a joke was finally about to become real.
The Time has come
Then the day finally came. Me and Nexus left home and reached Chennai by a Saturday morning and We both met after almost 5 years. Then TrillX came and we three went to check-in to the hotel we booked. But they denied early check-in and we had to book another room for refreshing. Then we decided to surprise atikin and We reached her bus stop. But the next thing happened was so surprising. She was walking towards us without noticing us and with only 20m between us, she took a sudden turn and crossed the road. We three were laughing on the bus stop as our plan to surprise her failed. Nexus called her and asked her to come to the bus stop we were waiting.
When we asked her why she took that sudden turn, she said that google map suggested that the bus stop was there. When we asked her to show it, it showed the bus stop we were standing and she took a wrong turn. I guess she must be drunk.
Day 1
Then we boarded a bus and reached Navalur. We still had almost one hour before our slot in coal barbeques. So we went to Vivira Mall near that and we went into a decathlon shop. When I saw roller blades, my desire became out of control and I wanted to buy one so bad. TrillX convinced me not to buy by telling me practical reasons. Then we sat and talked. It was the first time for all of us to meet together. All these days, We were talking and playing online, and never got a chance to meet each other. So it was a different kinda vibe for all of us.
The time was almost 12 and we reached the restaurant. And for the next two and half hours, we all ate to the fullest. Atikin was so bad she didn't eat a lot of starters and foods but ate a lot of desserts, ice cream and water melon. And then we all smoked by eating nitro biscuits. Everyone ate to their fullest. But once I left the restaurant, my stomach growled and I felt like I wanted to eat more lmao.
Then we took a cab and went to ECR beach. There we all stood on the shoreline as the small waves washed our feet. We took pictures, tried to catch crabs, took pictures of atikin being a titan, me being a Loreal shampoo model and finally, our first group selfie together. That was the first picture we took together, even after knowing each other for almost 7 years(Me and nexus go way back to 9 years).
We then sat down, talking about things. I'm a beach person and I was zoned out for a while when I started looking at the waves. I don't know why but whenever I sit alone and look at the waves, I get zoned out. I'll be lost in my own thoughts. Then we asked the architect atikin to build a dam across us so that the waves won't reach us. But the dam, never mind.
We booked another cab to Phoenix Market city as we are weebs and wanted to look at manga stores, anime figurines, and eat Japanese food. But atikin's sister was also there with her family. So we had to make sure that they don't see her lol. But fate had other ideas.
I wanted to buy a Roronoa Zoro's figurine but it was freaking costly. I was so sad since I love Zoro and I loved the statue as well. Most of the things were overpriced. Well, We should expect something like that from a Mall. Then with disappointment inside me and not showing it outside, We entered the Japanese restaurant in the mall, "Jonah's Aki Bay".
We ordered a Ramen and sushi. That was my first time eating a Japanese food, so I was so excited about it. I was the first person to use the chopsticks easily without hazzle. Then I taught others how to use it. Nexus and TrillX were able to do it but poor Atikin couldn't do it till the end. Sadge. I posted a snap of us being together on my snap story but unfortunately, atikin's sister's friend is my senior. So she saw the story, screenshotted it and sent it to her sister. I felt really bad when I got to know about this. But everything's good in the end. We walked atikin to her place and we went to our hotel.
Later that night, we checked out of the hotel we stayed for refreshing and checked in into the hotel we booked already. Then we drank and slept.
Day 2
The next day, we planned to watch "Valimai" movie and everyone's ready. But atikin came late to the station and we were 20 minutes late to the movie. Though it was unintentional, I still blame her for reaching late to the theater. And for the next 3 hours, I was bullied by the other three for making them watch a movie they didn't like. The struggle is real.
After lunch, Nexus boarded his train and he left Chennai to go home. Thus, our trip started to come to its end. Then me, atikin and trillx sat on the Egmore platform for almost an hour and my return train did not show up. So we asked the worker there and that's when we realized we were waiting for a train that left Chennai 12 hours ago. Yeah, we booked the ticket wrong and we didn't see the timing on the screenshot till that time.
After laughing out our pain, we booked a bus ticket for me since I had office the next day and I had to reach my home. After that, we dropped off atikin to the nearby station and me and trillx left to his place of stay. There, I met his friends and we left for catching my bus. While boarding, I saw trillx standing there with his eyes filled with tears. When I climbed up to my seat, there were water droplets falling on my pillow. I thought something's leaking since it was an AC bus but then only I realized I was crying as well. The same was the scenario with nexus and atikin as well.
The End
The two days were memorable, unforgettable, and one of the most beautiful and happiest days of my life. There's been only two occasions in the recent past that I can say I was so happy about, my brother's wedding and these two days. Initially I thought it'd be an awkward meet because I'm a total onliner and all four of us were connected only via gaming and discord and meeting In Real Life would be weird and stuffs but I was wrong. And I'm happy that I was wrong on this regard.
The time we spent laughing, eating, sitting on the beach and vibing, and all those were so close to my heart. Since this is the first trip, I was not prepared for blogging or vlogging it and so I just shared just a a small recap of what happened in the two days. Hopefully for the next trip, I think I'll be prepared for all this that I missed this time.
